FAA Awards $970 Million to Improve 114 Airports

The funding will build and expand terminal facilities in 44 states and three territories.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded $970 million to 44 states and three territories to support building improvements for 114 airports across the country. The funding will be used for an array of construction projects, including new baggage systems, larger airport gates, and modernizations for aging infrastructure. Building improvements for people with disabilities are also anticipated.

“We are doing more to improve the travel experience than ever before, from expanding consumer protections to modernizing the physical infrastructure,” said Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. “These investments we’re announcing today, made possible by President Biden’s historic infrastructure package, will make it easier for passengers to get to and through airports, create jobs, and increase safety for all.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Buttigieg to be led by God as he oversees the awarding of transportation infrastructure funds.
  • For the efficient and effective use of the awards by the recipient states and territories.
